“In welcoming all, we form disciples who know, love, and serve God and neighbor.”
Who is a disciple? A disciple welcomes God’s people, encounters Jesus Christ, grows in Jesus Christ, serves God’s people, and shares the Gospel. At Good Shepherd, we seek to foster a lifestyle of discipleship focused on these five characteristics of a disciple. Click here to learn more about our mission!

Good Shepherd Catholic Community is a parish of the Diocese of Fort Worth, staffed by Franciscan Friars Third Order Regular:
Description of the Pastoral Advisory Council: This is an advisory body that meets monthly to assist the pastor. Council members, who serve a three-year term, provide consultation through prayer, study, dialogue, discipline and discernment under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Mindful of our Parish Mission Statement, we actively listen to the needs of parishioners and share our wisdom at Council meetings. Discussions include but are not limited to Liturgy & Spirituality, Lifelong Faith Formation and Adult Education, Pastoral Care and Hospitality, Social Initiatives & Outreach, Facilities and Finances, and Parish Governance & Communications. The members help the Pastor decide the future needs of the parish. Final decisions are reserved for the Pastor.
This is an advisory body that meets every 2nd Thursday of each month to assist the pastor. Council members provide consultation through prayer, study, dialogue, discipline and discernment under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
All are welcome to attend but must call the parish office to RSVP.

A visionary group and an advisory body to the pastor, meeting once a month to advise the pastor on evangelization initiatives that lead to discipleship and6 stewardship is the disciple’s response to this call. Evangelization emphasizes how constituencies of our parish can bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to individuals and society by the divine power of the Gospel itself. Stewardship emphasizes how constituencies of our parish can respond with their time, talent and treasure to the call of discipleship. Evangelization and Stewardship are two sides of the same coin that cross-pollinate and lead us to Conversion of life. This council not only advises but also implements the initiatives related to Evangelization and Stewardship.
Next Meeting: January 20 at 12:30 - 2:00pm

An advisory body that meets once a month to assist the pastor.
This joint council is co-chaired by a Lead for Mission and a Lead for Outreach. Both Leads develop task forces, teams and committees who work between meetings in order to provide reports at a monthly meeting. Mission emphasizes how constituencies of our parish can contribute to missionary opportunities, especially through our covenant with the Trade School in Campamento, Honduras. Outreach emphasizes how constituencies of our parish can respond with their resources to help meet local needs within the community at large. Mission and Outreach are two sides of the same coin that cross-pollinate and lead us to social action for the common good.
This is an advisory body that meets bimonthly to assist the pastor.
Council members with experience in business, finances or economics are appointees of the pastor. This council advises the pastor on all financial matters: audits the monthly parish accounts, approves the annual parish budgets, and reports on finance meetings at Holy Trinity Catholic School. Council members also advise the pastor on cash-flow needs and our savings account, proposed maintenance projects, site development projects and capital expenditure projects, whether short or long-term. We provide direction regarding financial stewardship of the parish as well as diocesan and parish financial campaigns. Decisions are reserved to the Pastor.
