Lifelong Faith Formation

Note from Fr. Richard

Greetings to all of you.

After consultation with Marlon De La Torre, Diocesan Director of Catechesis, and in the presence of our Religious Education staff, I have made a decision that Tammy Sandoval has been promoted to Director of Faith Formation for our parish effective immediately.  Her duties will include but not be limited to  oversight responsibilities for all our  lifelong faith formation programs: K though High School coordinators and their admins, adult education, RCIA, and Sacramental Preparations.  Tammy will report directly to me.  Please welcome Tammy in her new role on staff.  We all look forward to her leadership, management, and organization to provide us with a solid direction in faith formation.  Thank you Tammy for accepting this new position.  You have our wholehearted support.  Blessings, Father Richard

Lifelong Faith Formation is a comprehensive religious education process for our entire parish. By using a spiral approach we develop the same seven themes of our faith in greater depth with each succeeding year. One theme a month is presented to our parish community and reinforced at an age-appropriate level. From preschool through adulthood and into mature age all parishioners engage the same theme of the month. This consistency allows parents and children, and adults with adults, to have intergenerational conversations about the faith. Lifelong Faith Formation encourages an interactive approach among all the members of our parish concerning the spiritual, educational, social and service dimensions of faith. These seven themes are presented each year: Revelation, Trinity, Jesus Christ, The Church, Morality, Sacraments and The Kingdom of God.
