CALLING ALL WELCOME AND CONNECT TEAM MEMBERS:

Do people tell you that you have a gift of making others feel welcome?  If so, we invite you to consider becoming a Welcome and Connect Team Member.  The Connect Team welcomes new parishioners to our parish. As a Connect Team member, you will be assigned a new parishioner family and asked to contact that family and orient them as to what Good Shepherd is all about. You may choose to meet your assigned family at Mass, invite them to Coffee & Donuts or introduce them to our clergy.

WELCOME AND CONNECT TEAM TRAINING – TBA

Help us “connect” new members to our Church community in 2017!

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Good Shepherd Catholic Community has experienced exponential growth since its founding in 1994. And currently boasts over 3,500 registered families with more new members joining every month. This is wonderful news. However, once a new family registers with us we want to insure that they become connected with our existing parishioners and engaged in one or more of our 50+ ministries. In short, it’s our responsibility to Shepherd our flock.

That’s where you come in…we are seeking people who are passionate about our Church community; who want to help others new to our community feel welcomed and connected to our people, our programs and our events…as quickly and as effectively as possible!

We do that through you, our WELCOME AND CONNECT TEAM MEMBERS!

Being a TEAM MEMBER entails:

  • Reaching out through an initial contact
  • Offering assistance where needed, which often means providing information related to the parish and our community

Optional:

  • Attending Mass with them and introducing them to the Friars
  • Introducing them to a church ministry and/or attending a church event together

To become part of the Welcome and Connect Team, please fill out the information below.

Please note: Safe Environment Training is required before volunteering for any ministry. If you have not completed Safe Environment training, or it has been more than 3 years, visit  the      Safe Environment link.
