Act of Spiritual Communion

During these unprecedented times, we have felt the desire and need for the Eucharist possibly even more strongly than before. Since we cannot come together in community to receive the True Presence of Christ's Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, we would like to offer you the opportunity to receive a Spiritual Communion. The Act of Spiritual Communion expresses our belief in the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and asks that Christ enters our souls since we cannot physically receive him. Below is the Act of Spiritual Communion composed by St. Alphonsus di Liguori. We invite you to pray this prayer during live-streams of our Masses or at any time you wish to receive Christ into your soul.
.....

My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
