Salvation: What Every Catholic Should Know
Why was Christ incarnate of the Virgin Mary? Why did he die on the cross and rise three days later? If you listen to the Profession of Faith each week, you will note that Jesus came “for us men and for our SALVATION!” Yet, do we know what “salvation” is? Some may say it means to go to Heaven. If that were its only meaning, why is it that the verb “save” is used in the New Testament in the past tense (you were saved), the present tense (you are being saved) and in the future tense (you will be saved). Salvation is much more than “fire insurance” against the eternal flames of Hell!! Join us as we explore not only what we are “saved” FROM, but what we are “saved” FOR!
