Fr. Jason will be moving to Pennsylvania to begin a new assignment. Keep reading below for a special message from Fr. Jason to Good Shepherd.

On behalf of Good Shepherd Catholic Community, thank you, Fr. Jason, for your Christ-like service and dedication to our community. We will miss you here in Texas! Know that you are in our prayers as you begin this exciting new chapter of your ministry.

Good Shepherd will be hosting a farewell gathering for Fr. Jason this Sunday, August 11 after the 4:00pm Mass. This is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation and thanksgiving for all Fr. Jason has done for our parish. Everyone is invited to attend. We will have a basket for cards for Fr. Jason at the gathering.

A Message from Fr. Jason:

On Monday, August 12, I will be departing Texas to first spend a week with my family and then move to Loretto, PA. Starting this Fall Semester, I will be serving in Student Life at St. Francis University (francis.edu). In Student Life, as opposed to campus ministry, I will be serving ALL students on campus through clubs, organizations, Freshmen Orientation, Greek Life, Residence Life, etc. I will be living at a separate Friary close to campus with our Novice, Novice Director, and new Minister Provincial. Not only are these great men, but the friary is right next to a golf course! All of the friars and staff have been extremely supportive and welcoming so far. I want to thank all of you at Good Shepherd for making these past two years so life-changing. Between the warm weather and the many letters sent to my family, the great meals and friendliness of almost everyone, and continued patience with my tardiness and forgetfulness, you will truly be missed. I may shed a tear every time I see a Texas flag. Please, keep me in your prayers as I continue towards this next opportunity. Thank you again, GSCC, for all that you do, and I know you will continue changing the world as you go forward.
