Note from Fr. Richard

Greetings to all of you.

After consultation with Marlon De La Torre, Diocesan Director of Catechesis, and in the presence of our Religious Education staff, I have made a decision that Tammy Sandoval has been promoted to Director of Faith Formation for our parish effective immediately.  Her duties will include but not be limited to  oversight responsibilities for all our  lifelong faith formation programs: K though High School coordinators and their admins, adult education, RCIA, and Sacramental Preparations.  Tammy will report directly to me.  Please welcome Tammy in her new role on staff.  We all look forward to her leadership, management, and organization to provide us with a solid direction in faith formation.  Thank you Tammy for accepting this new position.  You have our wholehearted support.  Blessings, Father Richard

Bridge is a weekly gathering of Intermediate and Middle School students for dynamic formation through fun games, engaging talks and demonstrations, intentional fellowship and community in small groups.  The Bridge is an engaging, spiritually stirring series of faith sessions tailored specifically for fifth and sixth grade students.  We’ll be dishing out the radical love of Jesus Christ through big group games and small group discussions, bound together in Catholic teaching and a good helping of crazy energy.

The Bridge meets weekly on Sunday afternoon from 2-3:30 p.m., which will allow students to attend the Sunday 4:00 p.m. Mass with their families or with fellow students.  Students who have not been picked up by 3:45 p.m. will attend the 4:00 p.m. Mass.

There are two options for the 2016-17 Faith Formation 5th & 6th Graders:

1. The Bridge is a weekly large/small group setting that meets on Sundays from 2-3:30 p.m.  Sign up and get ready for a whole new world of interactive catechesis! See calendar below for class dates.

2.  Home Study materials for our students in 5th-8th grade are completely online. After registering, each student will be emailed their personal login information. There are readings, videos, games, and quizzes for each chapter. Since everything is online, it will track the student’s progress throughout the year—we ask that each student complete the lessons by the end of the school year. With Home Study, each student can work at his or her own pace, but it is necessary to be consistent.

Parents, we highly encourage you to study a series through Formed while your student is doing his or her Home Study.

This is an area to describe the details of the event. Or you could have any information in here really, it just doesn't matter all that much. But the real test of an area like this is how much text it can actually hold. I mean, surely there must be limits. Right? Well if there are we sould probably display a Link Style.
