Update on the Mosaics from Fr. Mike

Ioana Belcea, the artist who is creating the mosaics for the church, is working on the project in her studio in Princeton, New Jersey. She has ordered the pieces for the mosaic from Murano, Italy, located on an island off the coast of Venice. The mosaics are being constructed in sections that will be joined together here onsite. Ioana hopes to have the mosaics finished and mounted by the end of March. She has also set up a blog connected to her website where she will post comments and pictures as her team progresses with the fabrication. You are invited to follow this fascinating project through this link.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to a parishioner, who desires to remain anonymous, for providing the funding for the project. My hope is that these marvelous mosaics will heighten the beauty of our church and aid us in the worship of our marvelous God – the Author and Artist of all things

Life on the Chrism Trail: A video series by Bishop Michael F. Olson in which he shares his reflections on the mysteries and teachings of the Church, instituted by Christ, and handed on for 2,000 years.
