Adult Living Centers & Nursing Homes

Good Shepherd’s Visitation Ministry has frequent visits to all five Adult Living Centers that are within the geographic boundaries of Good Shepherd Catholic Community.  Visits range from weekly one-on-one Communion Services to group Communion Services using the facility’s chapel or gathering room.  A monthly Mass is offered at some facilities and presided over by one of the priests from Good Shepherd.

Please contact the individual facilities below to obtain their schedule of Catholic services.

Adult Living Centers within Good Shepherd’s Parish Boundaries:

  • Ellory Arbor Memory Care
  • Dancing River Assisted Living
  • Oakmont Guest Care Center
  • Solstice Senior Living
  • The Lodge at Bear Creek (by request only)

Unfortunately, if a facility is not listed above, we cannot extend our ministry to that Adult Living Center as it is outside our parish boundary.  Please contact a neighboring parish for information on that facility.  For additional information on the Good Shepherd Adult Living Centers listed above, or to express interest in joining the Visitation Ministry for Adult Living Centers, please contact our Visitation Ministry.

Hospitals

Good Shepherd does not offer a regular communion service to hospitals since we do not have any hospitals within our parish boundaries.  For Baylor Scott & White Grapevine, please contact St. Francis of Assisi in Grapevine who offers communion service at that hospital 1-2 times per week to all Catholics regardless of parishioner status.  For Texas Health HEB, please contact St. Michaels in Bedford who visits that hospital on a regular basis offering a communion service to all Catholics.   For all other hospitals, please contact the closest neighboring parish for their visitation schedule to that hospital.

NOTE:  For the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick by a priest from Good Shepherd for a parishioner of Good Shepherd who is at Baylor Scott & White Grapevine, or Texas Health HEB, please contact the front desk of Good Shepherd.
