Honduras Scholarships

We are so excited for your interest to sponsor a student(s) at the Fray Casimiro Institute in Olancho, Honduras for the 2022 school year.  Your support is so critical to these students. When you sponsor a child or youth, you will:  Live out the Gospel call to walk in solidarity with those in need, partner with an individual across geographic and economic divides and oer ongoing nancial support and the opportunity for a better life.
Through our HONDURAS MISSION PROGRAM, there are 80+ students enrolled in the “Buen Pastor Bilingual” School program (K-7th) and over 700 students in the Technical Institute (8th -12th  grades).  The school year runs ten months, February to November. Be assured that 100% of your donation benefits the students; it covers tuition, uniforms, school supplies and transportation for an entire school year.
There are two types of sponsorship:
  •  a half scholarship for a student at the Bilingual school is $450 and
  •  a full scholarship for a student at the Technical Institute is $250
They are awarded ONLY to students enrolled at the Good shepherd Bilingual School or at the Fray Casimiro Institute.  The annual scholarship can be paid once a year or monthly.
If you chose to pay once a year you may write a check to Good Shepherd and drop it off at the front desk or pay online at via Faith Direct by clicking on the tab One Time Gift. Please reference “HONDURAS SCHOLARSHIP” in the Note box. Please send payment at your earliest convenience.
